Post subject:  Posting Pictures

I've posted this as it's a question that gets asked a lot 'how do I post pictures or edit my avatar/signature'

First off: Go to 'Photobucket' and Join Now. Register a Userame and Password...This will allow you to view and access your image library on-line...

Image

Once you are registered you can start to upload images. For the forum the largest size of image is 600x600 (you may have to resize in a graphics programme beforehand). Choose to upload image and choose the location of the required image, making sure to select 640x480 if you require a large forum friendly image...Alternatively you can choose 320x240 or lower for smaller images to be put on forum.

Image

Uploading screen below will tell you all is correct and whether you have selected correct file.......

Image

After that stage you will be asked if you wish to 'save and continue' or 'edit image'. If you select save and continue photobucket will display your gallery screen with your uploaded image. The IMG code highlighted in blue is what you need to copy(right click copy or Ctrl+C) and then paste into the forum.

Image

Lastly paste(right click paste or Ctrl+V) the IMG code that you have just copied from Photobucket into your required field on the forum. You can preview or submit from here to make sure all is correct...

Image

To edit your forum avatar just remove the [img] at the start and the end of the IMG code after you have pasted it....so the IMG code line starts: http:// and ends .jpg

Hope that makes life a bit easier for new people to forum trying to paste images and edit avatars and signatures :)

Photobucket is free, well it has been for the last god knows how many years I've been using it and still am !
I would shed a tear if it's a Darenth fish, I used to fish it years ago before the vermin was stocked that wiped out the original fish!

Not the cats that were vermin, it was all the dodgey carp that came over on the ferry in the back of transit vans !!
Myself and a mate were asked if we would do it for a few quid when we were fishing the big lake!
No Thanks !!!!! :x
