while up at the weekend sad to say found the large comma common and 1 of the red tail commons floatin in the margins, both unmarked. 1 was deposited behind the dam and the other along the grass bank fence line. Both were original stock :( .

When you say depositied, do you mean they had been dragged out by an otter or something?

While up yesterday noticed another floater by the weed beds, will hopefully get it out over weekend. I,ll let you know once i,m back. Rob. fish were floaters before I deposited them nae furries involved.

Ah right, I read it as you had found the bodies deposited on the bank. Got ya now.

:( sad day at binny , managed to retrieve the floater out the weeds this morning and sad to say its THE Linear, 1 of the originals, no marks or damage hopefully just old age.

Sad days indeed but must remember the originals were stocked in the mid 70s and were of a table variety, never ment to live as long or get as big. I,m going to speak to the shooters to find out what type of wheat seed their using, feed seed fine but other types could be deadly, know of at least 1 that turns acidic after being treated. Will also be asking them to soak all seeds for required times. No tests have been done yet geoff but will speak to Iain later and see if theres a freezer handy incase theres any more deaths, then they can be stored till picked up . Fingers crossed it is just old age.

Yes they should only be using Feed Barley for the Ducks, Not Wheat . I take it thats what they are shooting on it ? But I think you should have the water tested, seems a lot of fish dead to be old age unless they had a suicide pack between them.
