euan(YuG) has just phoned me to say there is a fish tehered up in the boyds in wishing what amazes me is someone that is fishing in that mass of weed there really is no point in just fishing for runs and potenially killing, tethering or just damaging the fish so what is everyones views on this?? I think its out of order fishing in that just to get a RUN!! :x :x

yup if thay have a weed rig or if the lead comes of right away could be ok but fishing bolt rigs semifixed running rigs ARE A NO GO .you must be able to drop the lead right away if fishing into thick weed/snags. yup.......if ppl see someone that might be fishing incorect then id have a word with them. i fish with the lead attached to the leader not on the leader tubbing or line. i do this with a with a tail rubber. holding the lead in place and the swivel turned round and pushed into the inline lead and tie your hooklink to ware the leader is attached to thje swivel fished with a bag and when a fish picks the bait up and shakes its head the lead will drop off 100% id rather lose a lead than tether a carp.....................some ppl havent got a clue about rig safty if even leadclips ppl dont no how to use them properly.................. :x :x :x :x :x

Many thanks to Ewan for letting us know earlier today  :D

Trying to get it sorted out at the moment, looking like it will be later this evening.

And for those who didn't want the buoys removed, this is exactly the reason! just a shame the council didn't remove the anchor buoys  will be sorted out soon though.

Cheers
Saul

Buoys just cut off for now as weights are too large to remove by boat, still will be much safer but I hope to try and get some long ropes to haul the concrete blocks out from the bank as they still have a length of rope attached ??

Cheers
Saul

Unfortunately some people have undergone a commonsense bypass and we all have experience and/or stories about that.

common sense and who said they were fishing near the buoys maybe directly into the weed and because they didn't want to loose a £1.20 lead
maybe 5year old line because they cant be bothered to buy new stuff, maybe beacuse their leadcore had a loop in the mainline attachment end.

who knows saul you tell me they are your members
