i fished it last august bank holiday 3 hour drive from livingston try and get on the point swim or the one before it facing the cabins there are some skimmers /roach as well as carp in the specimen lake i would give the particles a miss as a bait and stick with boilies richworth 18mm xlr8 was doing the biz back then pva bags /stringers quite a soft bottom 1 oz to 1.5 oz lead will let you cast anywhere on the lake
long hook-link 10 inches hook size 8s should be fine
try zigs if there nowt on the bottom water not that deep 5 to 8 feet drop 1 rod in the margins just before dark usually gets a fish there ain't hot water toilet is clean there a sink in the small room next to the toilet so you can wash up your grub dishes no shops close by so take everything you will need with you they have a facebook page now it gets updated every time there's a decent catch which was 4 times last Monday and twice yesterday
hope this helps

Many thanks for the info, I hear that the owners feed Celtic Baits Crustaceans boilies during Slack Periods and winter ? not heard of them before. will post catch reports when we get back.
