will i need to put my rods in tubes to go on a plane or will a rod holdall be oK

if there 2 piece rods put them in a holdall when you get off the plane they will be 10 piece rods always use tubes not the cardboard ones proper plastic or aluminium

or get a kis rodbox. It's a heavy duty extendable plastic rod carrying case with built in handle and attachable carry strap. You can padlock it shut. great piece of kit especially if you've got expensive rods. :wink:

K.I.S have gone bust but may be able to get second hand, ebay etc
Search for Sport tube, just the same as a KIS tube & very good.
Other one is the Fladden Bazooka rod tube, not as good as the KIS/Sport tube though IMO.

you can get a Bazooka tube on ebay same idea as the KIS
not cheap seen one go for £75 ,they can hold 2 or 3 rods plus reels landing net inc handle .and you can lock them.
