has anyone tried Loch Chon, just around the corner from Loch Ard. Ive fished it a few times for pike but had no luck. Supposedly pike and Perch. Nice spot though. Loch Ard on the other hand has been productive for me at the boat yard, had a few good doubles. The school end i find to be very windy no matter what the weathers like.

Cheers Div

Chons produced a couple of good fish over the years but none recently, there are a lot of jacks in it though and it is fav spot for neds and noddies at weekends.

Hi guys

Just recently joined the site, I seen a topic on pike fishing loch ard and seen Gordon walker post the comment about the 22lb pike being caught, we're you the guy on the boat fishing for pike? I was the guy hauling the pike in lol, just a wee comment on that water at the boathouse, I've fished that particular section for years now and blanked more times than I care to mention so please don't be mid-lead into thinking its full of pike, I think the other side from where you walk to through loch ard forest provides deeper water as its very shallow at the boathouse end, I reckon 3-4ft deep at the very most, I'm going again on the 2nd of June but would appreciate anyone who has a ideas on new venues around that area or is up for a joint trip.
