New to this site and area but not to fishing. Just looking for some venues to try in the Fife /Edinburgh area. Was at The Brickies in Inverkeithing to day had plenty of small Perch on red maggot. I am not looking for Carp or anything specialist, just general coarse fish.
Any help greatly appreciated as keen to get my son into fishing thia summer.

Thanks

There is the Swan Pond in Lumphinans. Go down Gagarin Way. Cross field and and under railway line to get to Pond. Has Perch, roach and pike in it.

there is still plenty of roach and perch in the canal but size wise im not sure if the big ones are there. best bet is to walk it fairly early morning when the sun is out but the boats haven't kicked up the muck. find and note your areas. close to fife there is a couple of quarries in winchburgh. and Eliburn in Livingston. also in Livingston you have pumpherston pond and few other small interesting places. the quarry at east calder has roach and perch. carp group waters. binny had roach and tench. and kinghorn on your side of bridge has a head of roach and probably perch
