everyone has heard of arlesey perch,and there i haqve seen fish that i am sure are over 6lb and may easily top 7lb.but i am told and i believe it,that double figure perch exist. 18th of june 1954

what do you think about that then boy's :shock: :shock:

There was supposed to have been a Perch over 7lbs from Loubnaig back in the early 80's by a Salmon Angler

There are Perch caught every year there over 4lbs

Lomond has Perch over 5lbs

But over 6lbs > that is something

lochgelly loch in fife used to constantly produce 5lb plus perch ,but that was many moons ago. :shock:

How ar you doing. Re the 7lb Perch, I can confirm this as a fact. I was the fish recorder at the time and dealt with the claim for the Scottish Record. The fish was weighed in the post office in Calander and was the reason the rules were changed to exclude dead fish. I saw the fish in question, both halfs of it in fact. It was cut in two to fit in the freezer. :D :D :D :D

hot water pond in newmains used to hold perch to 5lb plus but that was in the 70s/80s

Romania 8lbs 13 oz
Germany 8lbs 13 oz and ...wait for it...(non rod and line)...15lbs 7 oz, Germany....
