 my first rudd !

i couldnt edit that last post ? ? hmm

anyway i ment to say there are 2 ponds in the dams a large 1 that you can fish and a small 1 that iv never tried its to hard to get to . i planned my walk to the pond with google earth , as when your walking through the 6ft reeds you get lost :lol:

well that s the thing iv been there 20 times of something and only ever caught perch , no - one fishes it because there not daft enough to get to it , but it is dry round the edges and peacefull , just dont go at night you might sh*t yourself with the bats :lol:

its a semi small water but its good for perch all the time , but the rudd was a surprise cant see there being many but i havent been fishing for them as i never knew they were present :P

ill need to get up to it cant work out on the map where about it is though :? i live at the inches is it close by?? was up at larbert loch today for an hour trying for the crocs...no joy! lol

am up at larbert all the time mate ! u on the mack tails ? if you are id throw them away [sensibly] and get roach , put polystyrene in its gub to make it float , its that shallow and full of reeds the pike find it easier on the top ! and you see them take it !!!

carron dams

right go to mcCowans from inches , take a left , then a right at the lights , down past the school , and when your heading towards carron down the main road its on your right in the nature reserve

ahhh i see .... ive fished the icy loads of times in the winter never had a pike out it yet :O lol was up today with a popper still nothing... ive caught perch on wee mepps and had a wee jack follow me tight in but thats about it...what kind of success you had there\???

stunning rudd mate try the red loch its got belters of rudd up to 3lb and hybrids roach/rud roach/bream and its got bream up to 8lbs good sport on this water roach to 2.plus its got no carp or tench yet its near carnwath

hi guys, i seen you guys talking about larbert pond (the icy) i was up with my mate about a year ago and we caught a tench about 4lb on a worm sitting about a foot below a waggler, we have been up since many times and no real joy, loads of wakes from pike swimming in and out the reeds ha. :)
